Time display

S1 is a stunning watch thanks to a unique display system. With oversized hours and minutes, 20 visible rotating prisms and a sapphire crystal "jumping dial". Massively complex to design and build, this system offers simple, easy readability.

The relevant hour is displayed, sequentially, on a series of four sets of 5 triangular prisms. Please see our short movie for easy explanation. Minutes are indicated by the 18 carat Minute hand which has either a white or red flash, depending on the choice of gold watch case. When the minute hand reaches 60, the delicate sapphire crystal Minutes dial rotates 90°, to reveal the next hour.

The prism assemblies are a masterpiece of technology and wonder. When the Minute hand approaches 30 on the sapphire dial, the prisms directly under the 30 start to rotate and slowly a new number is apparent, just obvious through the sapphire dial.
